RMASFAA CFAA® Certification Course Registration Information

RMASFAA is offering several opportunities for in-person workshops throughout the region, often adjacent to state conferences to help limit travel, but you not have to be a resident of the state the workshop is being held in or a member of that state's association. Any workshop is available for you to attend as best meets your schedule and proximity.

Join us March 18 in Norfolk, NE -- prior to the NeASFAA conference -- for an in-person course to help you prepare for NASFAA's Certified Financial Aid Administrator® (CFAA) Program knowledge exam, increasing your likelihood of success. During this workshop, we will use a suite of workshop materials already prepared for you by a team of knowledgeable financial aid administrators who hold the FAAC® designation. You will leave the workshop with greater confidence in your knowledge, expectations of what to expect on exam, and readiness to take it.

LOGISTICS:
  • DATE/TIME: Wednesday, March 18, from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
  • LOCATION: Divots Conference Center, Norfolk, NE (same site as the NeASFAA conference)
  • COST:    $175 RMASFAA member rate (a $649 value!)*
                   $225 non-RMASFAA-member rate (a $599 value!)*
  • REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 11, 2026
  • INSTRUCTORS:  Susan Collins, FAAC,® Financial Aid Director, Doane University, susan.collins@doane.edu
Susan Stephenson, FAAC,® Higher Education Senior Consultant, Eide Bailly, sstephenson@eidebailly.com
[*NASFAA’s current costs are $150 for the Exam Prep Guide, $299 for their online workshop, and $375 for the exam, although the prep guide and online prep workshop are optional. The application fee is currently waived.]

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
  • In-person workshop, usually 7-8 hours, led by certified FAACs
  • Comprehensive set of NASFAA's preparation resources and exam access (a $525 value), including:
    • The Exam Preparation Guide
    • Self-Assessment Worksheet
    • Workshop handouts
    • Practice exam with diagnostic report (must be taken within 40 days of the workshop)
    • Access to the certification knowledge exam (must be taken within a year of the workshop)
Not only is this a huge cost savings, but workshop participants have significantly higher pass rates than those who study on their own. These workshops are designed to refresh and recall existing knowledge, not to provide in-depth financial aid training. Independent review may still be necessary.

Please note that registrants must upload confirmation of their active, approved NASFAA application to take the certification exam. Applications can be submitted within each participant’s own certification dashboard and are free of charge.
